The History of Casa Blanca Continues into the 1950s...

George and Effie Borg continued to enjoy Casa Blanca as their retreat into the 1950s. In the late 1950s,they sold it to investors with Royal Treadway at the helm. The intent was to transform Casa Blanca into a premiere five star desert resort. The swanky Sultan’s Table Restaurant, which incorporated the charming ambience of the famed dome, was an attraction. Hollywood elite were rumored to slip in and out, flying in using the airstrip, now called the Casa Blanca Airport. With air conditioning becoming commonplace, the Valley of the Sun was emerging as a resort mecca.
