The History of Casa Blanca Continues into the 1970’s…

Ownership changed hands several times during this decade. Phoenix-based Ramada Inns purchased Casa Blanca in 1971 and added tennis courts and honeymoon suites. The Sultan's Table became Le Jardin, noted for its fabulous Sunday brunch. Larger more elaborate resorts that catered to conventions and conferences were springing up all around the smaller Casa Blanca, making it difficult for the boutique hotel to compete. In 1978, Casa Blanca was on the market again. With the Valley of the Sun transitioning from a seasonal winter visitor market to an attractive opportunity for second-home buyers, developer Alan Mishkin purchased Casa Blanca Inn to convert it into a residential community.
